In the Fukagawa area of Tokyo, where the Fukagawa Distillery is located, people have lived together with the river since ancient times. As someone who was born and raised in Fukagawa, where the flow of water and daily life are linked, I was conscious of the “sharpened transparency” that I wanted to express in the bottle design of a craft gin distilled in this area. I applied the label to the front and back of the bottle to create a three-dimensional design with depth at its core, and when you look into the back of the window, you can enjoy the shimmering expression of the pattern through the lens effect.

The Fukagawa Tuburo series is a seasonally released craft zine, with text patterns inspired by the botanicals used. Since these seasonal zines are made from seasonal botanicals, we also keep in mind the beauty of the bottles when they are laid out. We hope that those who pick up the bottles will appreciate the changing expressions of the bottles as if they were learning about the seasons or a scene of a murmuring river.
