There are not many artworks, but each piece, including public art, is large and worth seeing, and can be viewed while playing.

My favorite relaxing museum!

The Towada Museum of Contemporary Art, located in Aomori Prefecture, opened in 2008 as an "open facility that provides new experiences through art. In addition to its permanent collection of works by Yayoi Kusama and Ron Mueck, the museum also holds special exhibitions for a limited time. Another feature of the museum is that each work of art is displayed in a single room and glass passageways that help connect the private rooms. Each of the exhibition rooms boasts large windows that create a sense of openness, bringing out the beauty of the exhibited works.

There are also exhibits outside the museum, including objects that you can sit or lie down on, making it a museum facility that not only adults can fully enjoy, but also children as well.
