Muranokome from Shimojo Village in Minami Shinshu, Nagano Prefecture, is a rice that is delicious even when cold.

To express the rice that goes well with onigiri, the package design is based on the triangle shape of an onigiri. There are three types: Hakumai(White Rice), Genmai(Brown rice), and Mochigome(Sticky RIce). The package is transparent, so you can see the color of each rice. A cute illustration of a rice ball is also a point of interest. The design is so heartwarming that it will make you want to eat onigiri, making it a perfect gift.

Muranokome is grown with great care by farmers in Shimojo Village, Shimoina County, Nagano Prefecture in Minami Shinshu. The rice is grown along with the four seasons: the rice fields are prepared in the spring, the rice grows in the summer, the rice is harvested in the fall, and the microorganisms in the soil begin to prepare for the next season in the winter. The rice is nurtured with water that comes from a stream in the mountains.
