“Gekkeikan Studio” is an experimental project to evolve sake by Gekkeikan, a Kyoto-based sake brewer with a history of over 380 years. This is a project to research, develop, and evolve the future of sake by offering customers new sake that no one has ever tasted before in the prototype stage and reflecting their feedback in product development.

The sake products are numbered No. 1, No. 2,,, in the order in which they are released. No. 1.1 is a renewal version of No. 1. The package design for each product was designed using a simple pattern to express the impression of each product, such as aroma and taste. The renewal version did not change the pattern but increased the area of color with each improvement.

The label on the back is laid out like an experimental chart. The entire package design embodies the experimental project called “Gekkeikan Studio”.
