"To minimize confusion in the office supply shelves of Japan – a range of copy paper was designed to create easy navigation in an intuitive way. Created to only hold information essential to the user. Each paper type is defined by a color, ranging from colder nuances to warmer shades. The stripes on the reams indicate the quality of the paper – the finer the stripe, the better the printing quality. The idea of the stripes came up as a subtle symbol of stacking paper but also a playful way to enhance differentiation between paper reams as busy coworkers meet, chat and refill paper trays in the copying room."
