STORY
Launched in March 2011, CANOBLE is a “food cosmetic” that adds aroma to dishes (like sprays and gels). Although it was developed with the theme of “sixth taste” (after sweetness, sourness, bitterness, saltiness and umami), we were forced to give up production due to the Great East Japan Earthquake. After the disaster, We focused on butter as a method of producing scents, and in November 2018, we relaunched as a butter brand and developed flavored butter and confectionaries.
DESIGN
The name CANOBLE is a combination of the Japanese word “CANNOU(senses)” and “KOUKI(noble)”. In addition, the pronunciation of “KOUKI(noble)” can also mean “KOUKI(fragrance)”. It represents our brand concept of embodying and expanding the human senses. The packaging uses graphic designs to express the tastes and flavors of the products without using text. This also helps prevent mistakes during shipping.
