The Japanese beauties depicted in ukiyo-e, the art of traditional block prints and paintings, were known for their youthful and flawless skin. The secret to their velvet smooth and satin soft complexion lay in the ancient natural ingredients used in simple beauty rituals originating in the Edo period.

EDOBIO skincare integrates cutting-edge Japanese biotechnology with the ancient natural ingredients that have been in development since the Edo period. EDOBIO's Moisturizing Soufflé Soap is a biotechnologically developed facial cleansing soap that contains plant-based BiProGE® lactic acid bacteria derived from the rich soil nurtured by nature.

Masu, a square wooden box used to measure rice in Japan back in the days, was chosen for its packaging. We emphasized the simple beauty rituals and the beauty of Japanese minimalism. The sleeve is made of velvety paper reminiscent of soufflé-like lather, which is what this soap is acclaimed for. Graphics that are a modern take on ukiyo-e are incorporated into the design.
