Joseph Lee Alviar is a graduate of Masters in Graphic Design at the famous California Institute of the Arts. A hot house school for post-modern art education. A graduate of Fine Arts major in Advertising at the University of Santo Tomas. 

He is the co-founder and creativer director of Team Manila Graphic Design Studio Inc. He is a multi-disciplinary designer working on broadcast, print, branding and web design. One of his early works, Slapshock’s album “Novena” won him an Best packaging at the Araw Awards and Best Director in MTV Pilipinas Awards. He is a constant invited speaker in design and branding conferences such as Adobo Magazine, Grafika Manila, Manila Design Week and other colleges and universities around the city.

Joseph Alviar is in partnership with The One School and Quark Henares in putting up School of Intermedia, Film and Technology (SHIFT). Shift is a film and graphic design school established in 2008. In 2009, Team Manila held the first Manila Design Week, a week long event that promotes and shares design to the public. He is in persuit of sharing and promoting graphic design to a greater audience and using graphic design in promoting the country.
