Eriko Kawakami
Born in 1982, Kawakami graduated from the Department of Design at Tokyo University of the Arts. She worked at DRAFT Inc., but established her own studio in 2018. In the same years, she has been appointed as the Artistic Director for Automattic Inc. that operates WordPress.com.
Her main works are branding for “san grams”and “RURU MARY’S”, and title back art direction for NHK’s regular TV novel “Half Blue”. She undertakes work across a broad spectrum, applying her graphic design techniques, from product to spacial designs.
Awards: JAGA New Designer Award, JAGADA Award, ADC Award, and so on.
