Eisuke Tachikawa strives for social design innovation (design that brings good change to the future) with an ethos to design the intangible through a multidisciplinary design strategy. The methods in which he applies his insights to the forms of architecture, graphics, and products are highly recognised across the world; with over 50 accolades from major domestic and international design awards — some of which include: Good Design Gold Award, Design for Asia Grand Award (Hong Kong), PENTAWARDS Platinum Award(Food Packaging Category, Belgium), Japan Sign Design Association (SDA) Grand Award, and Japan Design Space (DSA) Award, amongst many more.

He has launched WIKI “OLIVE” 40 hours after the Tohoku earthquake and tsunami, a platform that allowed people to share useful designs during disasters, and disseminated these open designs to the world.
This led to working on the art direction (in collaboration with Dentsu) for the Tokyo Disaster Prevention book that issued more than 7.8 million copies across the city. In addition to this, in 2014 as a concept director for the “Cool Japan Movement Promotion Council,” sponsored by the cabinet secretariat, Eisuke contributed to creating the Cool Japan Mission Declaration: “Japan, a country that provides creative solutions to the challenges that the world faces.”
