Andrew Wong is co-founder of Onion Design Associates, a multi-disciplinary design studio in Taipei. He cultivated a passion for typography while studying graphic design at the University of Houston. His work on the album "Formosa Medicine Show” was nominated for Best Album Packaging at the 57th Grammy Awards as well as the 25th Golden Melody Award, and his works have been also honored by numerous other awards, some of which include DFA (Design For Asia award), Golden Pin Award, SDA Shopping Design Award Best 100, HKDA Global Design Award and selected by Tokyo TDC Awards. His work has also been featured in various publication such as Monocle magazine (UK), Artravel Magazine (France), Tokyo TDC, Design 360º, Computer Art Magazine and BranD magazine, and in books published by various international publishers such as Counter-Print, Victionary, Allrights Reserved LTD, Harper Collins, RotoVision, Rockport, and Sandu.

He creates typographic installations and curates exhibitions; Together with Sasson Kung, he curated the “Typephoon", a typographic installation exhibition in 2012. He is regularly invited to create typographic related installation works for various exhibitions, such as  “Hanzi Making Movement” exhibition in Taichung’s Qinmei Underpass, and most recently “Dream pool of Gutenberg” curated by Ri Xing Type Foundry (the only Chinese lead type foundry in Taiwan). He has been invited to speak, judge and do workshop in competitions and schools, most recently at Hochschule für Gestaltung und Kunst HGK FHNW, Basel, Switzerland.
